At JD Offshore GmbH, we provide specialized maritime services for the offshore wind industry. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Jade-Dienst GmbH, based in Wilhelmshaven and supported by around 115 employees within the corporate group, we utilize extensive technical expertise to support our clients in the best possible way. Our dynamic team in Wilhelmshaven, currently consisting of 26 employees, is therefore looking for motivated reinforcement as soon as possible to jointly drive the expansion in the offshore wind market.
Fleet Operators manage the daily operations of the vessels. They are the main communication link to the captain and the rest of the ship’s crew. The Fleet Operator assists with deployment planning, maintains contact with regulatory authorities, manages customer relations, and responds to issues that may arise during vessel operations. Fleet Operators identify bottlenecks to propose and support the implementation of workflow improvements within the company.
Your tasks
• Handling all tasks within the Marine Operation (MarOps) and Offshore departments, including operational fleet support during deployments
• Supporting project management after orders have been placed
• Organizing onboarding and training for all seafarers across all units
• Monitoring schedules of fleet units and sea personnel in collaboration with other departments
• Assisting Charter and Tender Management in analyzing and processing inquiries and tenders, as well as creating tailored proposals for our customers
• Supporting other departments with MarOps-relevant tasks
• Collaborating with and supporting HSEQ management
• Working in a team on interdisciplinary topics
Your profile
• Completed studies in the nautical field or equivalent qualification
• At least a certificate of competency as “Nautical Watchkeeping Officer” (NWO) according to § 29 Sec. 1 No. 1 of the German Seafarers’ Competency Ordinance (See-BV)
• General Operator’s Certificate (GOC) for radio communication (currently valid)
• Foreign language skills (English or technical English)
• Good knowledge of international and national maritime regulations
• Negotiation and organizational skills
• Assertiveness
• Basic commercial knowledge
• Ability to persuade and motivate people
